Rules: USGA Rules of Golf govern all play. Local rules are distributed at the starter’s table. The Eastern Junior Golf Association reserves the right to alter the conditions or schedules as stated, including alteration of the stipulated round(s) at any time during the championship. Each competitor must walk and carry her own bag (pull carts are allowed if club agrees) during the stipulated round. Use of tobacco products by competitors is prohibited. Note: The use of cellular phones (except in the case of emergency), portable music devices, headphones, laptop computers, PDA’s, pagers, beepers, and the like are not allowed during a stipulated round. The competition shall be deemed to have closed when the championship trophy has been presented. Special requests for starting times or pairings are not granted.

Championship Format: The championship is conducted at 36 holes of stroke play for the Girls 12-14division (5200 yards) and Girls 15-18 division (5800 yds. The champions are the lowest scorer in each of the two age groups. (On course playoff, if necessary for the

champion will begin on #1, immediately following play).

Entry Fee: $185.00 includes: two days of competitive golf costs, prizes, warm-up range balls, tee gift and awards ceremony. (Practice round for contestants $30, includes cart. Parents $50).

Entries: Each entrant must complete an official entry form. Faxed, incomplete, illegible forms or entries received after the closing date are not accepted. The EJGA is not responsible for errors or delays by any mail courier or internet service provider. Confirmation of acceptance and lodging information is sent to players when their status is determined. The entry fee must be paid by each player and must accompany the entry form. Only one entry fee per check. Make check payable to EJGA. Sign and mail the entry form with your $185.00 entry fee to EJGA, P.O. Box 1234, Vass, NC 28394. Players who “Did Not Show” (DNS) or “No Card” (NC) jeopardize their entry into future EJGA Junior Championships. Entries close on Dec. 11, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. and are limited to the first 72 entrants on a first come first serve basis (12 alternates).

Pairings: After the first round, all competitors will be repaired according to score within their age group, high scores teeing off first.

Refund Policy: Entry fee will be refunded regardless of reason if the EJGA is notified before close of entries. Refunds are not made after entries close except in the case of player injury, player illness, or death in the family. A $20.00 administrative fee is deducted from all refunds.
