EJGA POINTS SUMMARY

EJGA

Points Guidelines / Formula

2009

EJGA Points are awarded at each EJGA event, to EJGA members only!

Points will be used to determine player of the year standings in each division, and the Points standing will determine the eligibility for our two invitation only events next year.  (Eagle Point, Forest Creek).

Guidelines/Rules

The top 25% of each division will be awarded points at each event. If a division has 5 or less participants, then all of that division will receive points.

Points are calculated by the following formula:

10 Bonus points for division winners.( All ties will receive the full 10 points)

5 Bonus points for 2nd place finishers (all ties will receive the full 5 point bonus.)

Only 1st and 2nd  places will receive bonus points.

You can only receive points in the division you play in. If you choose to play out of your division (Play up 1 division) your points will only count in that division. So be wise in your decisions if you want to play up and out of your regular division.

Points are based on the number of players in your division at each event multiplied by the number of 9 holes completed. Most events will be a 4 multiplier, however if weather shortens the event the multiplier will change.

Example calculation:

30 players in a division would look like this.

1st Place       30 x 4 = 120 plus 10 bonus points  Total= 130

2nd Place       29 x 4= 116 plus 5 bonus points Total =  121

3rd Place       28 x 4= 112  no bonus      Total= 112

4th Place        27 x 4 = 108

5th Place        26 x 4= 104

6th Place        25 x 4 = 100

7th Place         24 x 4 = 96

8th Place         23 x 4 = 92

This event would pay out points to the top 8 players.
